ROBESON AND SAMPSON COUNTY APPROVED FOR FEDERAL INDIVIDUAL DISASTER ASSISTANCE

WASHINGTON, April 22 -- Rep. Mike McIntyre, D-N.

C. (7th CD), issued the following news release:

S. Representative Mike McIntyre announced tonight that Robeson and Sampson County have been approved for federal individual disaster assistance. This means residents in those counties that were affected by the recent storms are eligible for help.

Congressman McIntyre stated, "This is good news for the residents of Robeson and Sampson. I encourage those who were affected to apply so help can be provided."

Individual Assistance can include temporary housing assistance for eligible applicants such as rental assistance and repair assistance.

How Constituents Can Register:

* Telephone- 1-800-621-FEMA (3362), TTY (800) 462-7585 for individuals with speech or hearing disabilities.

* Internet-They may apply for disaster assistance online at www.

DisasterAssistance.gov.

* Smartphone-The mobile website m.fema.gov allows the public to easily access disaster-related information directly on their smartphone. The site also includes a registration form that the public can fill out to apply for disaster assistance after a Presidential declaration.

Robeson, Sampson, Bladen, and Cumberland became eligible for public assistance under the declaration approved on April 19th and now that coverage has been expanded to include individuals who need private assistance.
