An Indonesian court sentenced five Australians to up to three years in prison Thursday for flying illegally into the restricted Papua region.
They were convicted at the Merauke District court in Papua, the nation's easternmost province where they were arrested in September because they didn't have flight, security or immigration approval before landing.
